Since we have both Pictured Rocks NP and parts of the North Country Trail in the Hiawatha there will be more tourists as well as locals celebrating our local treasure! You have probably seen the directive "Find Your Park" encouraging people to get out and explore nature whether that is in a public park, playground, trail, or other open spaces. HIA has provided some funds to another program called "Every Kid in a Park" providing area fourth graders with a free ferry ride to Grand Island if accompanied by a paying parent. Also, if you are traveling in the "big city" with access to an IMAX theater, don't miss "National Parks Adventure." It showcases our very own local winter wonderland towards the end of the film.
